Saint Martin is an island in the south of Bangladesh which is full of coral . The blue water of the sea , the blue sky , the rows of coconut trees and the beautiful sea floating on the sea make this island beautiful . Once you visit this island , you want to travel again and again . The size of St. Martin is approximate 17 squire km. 

The island has a lot of coconut trees and a lot of coconuts in it , which is why the locals call this island Coconut Ginger .  The coconut water of this island is very tasty. Once upon a time a ship full of cinnamon sank here and all the cinnamon on the ship was scattered , which is why many people call it Cinnamon Island.

Saint Martin Island Location

The island is located in the southernmost Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar district in Bangladesh . It is located at the mouth of the river Naf , 9 km south of Teknaf .

How to get to Saint Martin

There are many buses available from Dhaka 's Sayedabad or Chittagong 's Cinema Palace bus station to St. Martin 's at night , but it is better to book a bus ticket in advance. The buses arrive at the Teknaf wharf in the morning before leaving the ship. After reaching Teknaf, a few ships left in the morning St. Martin 's purpose left between 9 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. It is better to cut the ticket of the ship and the front part. The same ship from St. Martin to Teknaf aims to leave between 3pm and 3:30 pm. If in any way the ship is not able to arrive at the dock within the stipulated time you will be given the next day Will have to wait for the ship. You can also come to Cox's Bazar by bus or plane from Dhaka to St. Martin's.

Best time to visit Saint Martin

Ships departing from Teknaf for St. Martin's purpose usually operate from November to March of the year. This is the perfect time to visit St. Martin. Small ships can also be reached at other times of the year, but it is not safe to travel to St. Martin without winter due to the rough seas at that time.

Where to stay in Saint Martin 

At present St. Martin has plenty of hotels and motels for overnight stays. If you take a hotel a little away from the beach, the rent will be a little lower.

How to spend time in Saint Martin

Standing on a ship on the way from Teknaf to St. Martin, you will be mesmerized by Gangchil's ship's pursuit on the sea. You can fertilize the chips or anything you want, but remember not to throw the packet of chips or anything like plastic in the sea.

Next morning you can go to the shipyard and go to Cheradwip by normal boat or speed boat. On the way to Cheradwip, you will be mesmerized by the blue of the sky and the blue water of the sea. Cheradwip is a separate island, there are also a lot of corals. The sea water there is very clear and blue. Remember, St. Martin must return from Cheradwip Island by 4pm, as it is forbidden to stay on the island after 4pm.

What to eat in Saint Martin

Rupchada, Kalachada, Coral, Lobster, Poya and many more types of marine fish are available fresh which will make you ready in front of your eyes. Moreover, in the evening, fish BarBQ and fried crab can be found on the beach. In addition to fish, meat or vegetables are also available at the hotel. However, the price of marine fish is a little higher, so it should be bargained.

Some warnings and tips in Saint martin tour

1. Don't throw dirt anywhere.

2. Do not bring corals with you on the way back from St. Martin.

3. The beach on the north side near the wharf is dangerous so avoid it.

4. Since it is an island of unity, everything costs a little more.

5. Try to travel on days other than holidays. This will reduce the cost.

6. Bicycle rental is available here. You can cycle around the whole sea beach.

7. Location is prohibited in Cheradwip after 4 pm so you will return before 4 pm.
