Jammu and Kashmir Travel Kashmir is a valley that lies between two ranges of Himalayan mountains. The valley measures 135 km in length and has a width of 32 kilometers. It is surrounded by the Himalayan to one end as well as the Greater Himalayas on the other. The Jhelum is a river that flows across the center.
