The diverse environment, thrilling festivals, ancient history and wonderful cuisine set Turkey apart from any other country. Because of this diversity you need to know some information about Turkey before you can enjoy Turkey.
Visa application
Many countries require a visa to travel. In some countries visas are issued upon arrival. But you need to get a visa before going to Turkey. Before applying for a visa in Turkey, check the validity of your passport. The passport must be valid for at least six months from the day you want to go to Turkey. Otherwise your chances of getting visa approval increase. You will usually have to wait at least two weeks to get a visa. So it will be beneficial to apply in advance.

Learn some simple Turkish language
The people of Turkey are generally very sociable. So don't be surprised if someone invites you to his home for Turkish coffee or tea on the street. All you have to do is learn to say "Hi, Hello" in Turkish. But beware of people who misuse friendship!

Keep some cash with different currencies
The Turkish currency is the lira. Usually you can easily convert US dollars and euros to lira. You will get the right price when converting currency in Turkey. But don't forget to just rely on your ATM card. You will find many ATM booths nearby. But not all booths will support your ATM card. Keep cash with different currencies. If the money exchanger does not want to take one, you can convert another.

So if you do not have experience and habit of using squat toilet, then get in the habit before going to Turkey. It is good to know some things about squat toilet before using it. Do not carry anything in your pants pocket when using squat toilet. There is a possibility of falling into the toilet. You will see a water tap next to the toilet from which you have to finish your flush work. It is more likely that there will be no separate flush system. Keep some retail money with you as most of the public toilets in Turkey have to be paid for.
