The Petronas Twin Towers are located at Jalan Ampang in Kuala Lumpur. The Petronas Twin Towers are currently the 16th tallest in the world. However, from 1998 to 2004, it was the tallest tower in the world. The height of the 88 stored high tower is 1483 feet.
Petronas Twin Towers
This beautiful tower was designed by the Argentine architect Chaser Pelli. Below this there is a foundation masonry of about 120 meters. It took seven years to build. The tower is a joint venture between Malaysian mobile company Maxis and oil company Petronas. Its construction cost 1.6 billion US dollars. Skilled engineers from Argentina, the Philippines and Malaysia have worked to build this twin tower.
A bridge connects the 41st and 42nd floors of the tower. The name of the bridge is Sky Bridge. With the help of this bridge one has to go from one building to another. The bridge is 58.4 meters long and weighs about 750 tons. Petronas' office is in this tower. The tower is named after this Petronas company. It is home to several international organizations, including Al Jazeera, Boeing, IBM, Crowler Network, Microsoft, and Reuters. There is a 8 stored shopping mall here. The five floors of this shopping mall are located below ground and the remaining three floors are located on the ground.
Kuala Lumpur City Center
The location of the Petronas Twin Towers is called KLCC or Kuala Lumpur City Center. Monorail can be reached directly from KL Central to KLCC. The name of the station is also KLCC. If you want to shop, you can do shopping from here. Construction of the Petronas Towers began in 1993. It was inaugurated on August 1, 1999 by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mahathir bin Muhammad.
The surroundings of this tower are very nicely arranged. The back of the tower is for tourists only. There are various types of entertainment for tourists. Sky Bridge is the best attraction for visitors. No one misses the Sky Bridge when visiting Kuala Lumpur. There is an artificial bridge here. You can take pictures of the whole tower while standing on this bridge. Tourists are given free tickets to visit Sky Bridge every day till 9 am. A 'water show' is organized here in the evening.
Many also call it a water dancing show. Tourists are mesmerized by the discharge of water from the fountain and colorful lights to the beat of various music. Again, some people capture this amazing scene on camera. At night, the beauty of this tower is magnificent. Which is a lot more of an exception than the day.
