This is why this castle is often called White Heron Castle. Built in 1601 on a high hill, the castle is so beautiful that the 83 structures of the palace are interconnected.
This city can be seen from any part of Himeji city. The palace was featured in the James Bond series You Only Live Twice and Tom Cruise's The Last Samurai.

Matsumoto Castle

The palace is located in a mountainous area north of Tokyo. This rocky castle was protected by a trench dug around it. Built in 1590, the castle has black walls. Another name for this is 'Crow Castle'. From the castle there is a beautiful view of the Hijri Kogan Mountains. It was built as a fortress. The fort was protected from attackers by setting fire to the shore or throwing large boulders.

Matsue Castle

Located in southwestern Japan, the castle is the latest specimen of the Sun'an regime. Interestingly, although it was built as a fortress, it was never attacked. It was originally used as the Watch Tower. Built in 1611, the fort was rebuilt in 1950. In the trenches dug around it, travelers can take a boat ride.
